Don’t let circumstances dictate God’s will. God’s word dictates his will. God’s word is his will. If you find yourself in the midst of a storm (a troubling situation), this does not mean that you have necessarily missed God’s will. The presence or absence of difficulty does not indicate whether one is in or out of the will of God. God’s word and His Spirit are what lead us.
Often, adversity comes with opportunity. The apostle Paul said, “There’s an amazing door of opportunity standing wide open for me to minister here, even though there are many who oppose and stand against me.” – 1 Corinthians 16:9. Adversity can also be the result of our ignorance or disobedience. You must be honest enough to evaluate if the struggle you are in is a result of your own disobedience. If it is, repentance will get you back on course.
Once you have determined what God’s will is concerning your situation, stand in faith, refusing to doubt or give in to fear. Faith must be manifested in your heart before it is manifested in the physical realm. You must operate in faith before you see the physical manifestation of what you believe God for.
Faith is being sure, confident and fully persuaded. Faith is based on knowledge of God and God’s will. Make sure you know what God reveals in His word concerning your situation. Then, you have a firm foundation to stand upon when difficulty comes to challenge the manifestation of God’s will in your life.
